Greaves looked every bit the cart horse last night too. Not sure why we chased him summer. He was plan b wasn’t he that’s the reality.
Maybe his left foot wasn’t as big an issue as some think b
Agreed, dreadful recruitmentPoor addition,as is Steffan & Mowatt... also ,our two none playing strikers, total waste of money. its a joke, we are going backwards..
Exactly this. In a back 4 alongside Fry or Lenihan he’d be more than fine.He was just a squad filler panic buy by Wilder because he happend to be left footed
Never kicked a ball for brighton in 3 year, so you knew there was something wrong with him on a technical and mobility level
Still, he must be better than he is showing just based on his player of the year showings, then again, that might have been in completely different tactical set ups
He's probably a decent penalty box defender in a counter attacking set up, in wilderballs 3-5-2 were the wide centre backs have to be mobile and join attacks
he has almost no attributes for it, he's an old school penalty box defender, that's were he would probably look 5 x better
He clearly isnt suited to the 3 at the back not a bad player but he is not mobile enough to play in a 3.How many centre backs get subbed 'tactically' 3 games in a row?

‘Poor signing’, the same guy who has won player of the season 4 out the last 5 seasons.I'd just put McNair there to be honest. It's a shame because he looked excellent on his debut but reality is he's a cart horse. Another poor signing.
He's a shocking player. No reading of the game, no technical ability, no intelligence, no pace. He's got by before by being committed, but that's not good enough.‘Poor signing’, the same guy who has won player of the season 4 out the last 5 seasons.
Why would he be good for three or four years and then sign for Boro and be sh*t?His performances - apart from his 1st game - have not been good
Against Sunderland he was terrible
He's got no pace what so ever can you compute thatWhy would he be good for three or four years and then sign for Boro and be sh*t?
It’s like Wilder. How can a bloke have 20 years of managerial success and then be sh*t at Boro?
To my mind it doesn’t compute.
