Unlikely to play tonight.
They must be looking to sell him…..
They must be looking to sell him…..
maybe we're looking at bringing him in on loan? It's almost as if the conspiracy theory wasn't true
ah fair enough. so not injured at all then!!Says in this report :
"Chuba Akpom, the new striker transferred from Middlesbrough for a transfer fee of 13.3 millions euros, will not play either against Ludogorets on Thursday because he is still waiting for a work permit."
Ajax without Šutalo & Akpom for next Europa League match; Pays €12.5 million for Ávila
New Ajax players Josip Šutalo and Chuba Akpom will not be allowed to play during Ajax's match against Ludogorets in the Europa League playoffs on Thursday. Brexit eh!They're taking their time on this work permit, aren't they?
He was signed and announced over a week ago.
Brexit eh!
Chuba just couldn't bloody resist that artistic Instagram shot on the train could he.We signed two players from Europe in the same time period, and had them starting 4 days later.
I guess it could just be as simple as they rushed the announcement, whilst we waited until it was virtually sorted to announce Engel and Latte Lath.
UK rules allow us to sign up to 4 players from abroad without the need to be eligible for a work permit. I believe they can be pushed through pretty quickly. We signed two players from Europe in the same time period, and had them starting 4 days later.

Deep down, he knows he has failed at PAOK, his dream is clearly over, he has given up on fame having left the Boro to play for a no mark of a club named after a cleaning product
I'm thinking the guy was joking, but yeah. He did well at PAOK. I don't know if he can repeat his goalscoring feat again, but I think he'd fit into the Ajax style of football. He's technically good, clearly fits the total football ethos that the Dutch have, and clearly has an incredible work ethic. Plus I think he has the belief now, which I think he was lacking a bit before. I can't see him allowing himself to fail at Ajax.He won the league and cup double at PAOK, scoring the winner in the Greek Cup final.
Only their third League title in their 97 year history, and 7th Cup.
He won't have scored as many as he hoped, but he certainly didn't fail there.
Hopefully he wins a league title and scores plenty for Ajax.
