union jack is very popular over here in Thailand, it decorates HGVs .... most are upside down or have the cross red stripe as way too thick

Weird one for me. My dad had some involvement with team GB when he was younger and is very proud of it, as am I by connection as we're very close. So the Olympics was a big deal in my house as a kid and I'd see him get as excited at his particular sport as much as he would seeing the boro in on goal or winning a big game.
My Royal Enfield bizarrely has a small union jack on one side with the word England above it. Which is borderline amusing but I don't really like it. Not sure what to replace it with though and I adore the bike.
I personally dislike the flag, I'm not overly fond of the England-centric nature of the union and I'm not especially proud of some things perpetrated in our history which that flag represents to so many and how it's now become a symbol of nationalism rather than patriotism. The former being a particularly ugly ideology.
