Championship next Season

Arguably the best championship line up ever. Loads of clubs with 25-35k+ fan bases when going well or in the premier league. Think southampton will bounce back up if they keep their best players and invest wisely
I think they will as well, they bought a lot of good young players many off Man City that were not ready for the premier league but I expect they will be good enough for championship added to their forwards who are also very good championship players they will do well.

Why not just hoof last year's post?
That would be interesting.

It's always difficult to judge relegated sides, unless you know now buoyant they are financially, even with PP.

I think Leicester have a big rebuild (but so did Burnley), Southampton some excellent young players, with Leeds being the ones who seem the most difficult to judge, given they're recruiting not just a new manager but above him too.

I'd bet on us being a play off contender again, I think the top two will be from the relegated teams.

West Brom's ran out this season, they only had a one year spell back themselves.

So there are 5 teams with parachute payments and 2 of them are in the much lower final year.

Though Watford also have the money from selling Joao Pedro.
Cheers for the correction.

So considering all 3 relegated sides have financial issues and restructuring to take place, and only two other teams have reduced parachute payments, next season could be the the best chance ever.

Only 6 times in 30 years has 2 of the relegated clubs been promoted back in the first season. Twas a feature on 5Live last week.

Burnley broke the 100 point barrier. First team to do it since Leicester in 13/14 (I'm willing to be corrected on this).

Chances are no one will manage that this year; I don't think anyone will dominate to the extent they did.

SU broke the 90 point barrier too: one of only 2 runners up to do that in the last 5 seasons.

The bar was set high this season, no matter how much we sneer at styles of play.

Lots of traditionally big clubs. Far more exciting than the Prem would've been. We will face:

Leeds United
Leicester City
Southampton
Sheffield Wednesday
Ipswich Town

all added to

Sunderland
Norwich City
West Brom
Watford
Stoke City
Birmingham City
Coventry City
Blackburn Rovers
Yeah miles more exciting than playing Man City, Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle, Villa, Spurs, Chelsea, West Ham.
I mean why would you want to play them at The Riverside in front of full houses?
I'm particularly looking forward to playing Blackburn and Brum again and its a dream to go back to Ipswich.

Were you entertained in 2016/17?
To be honest the first half of the season was class tbh when we took Bournemouth apart thrashed Swansea got the last minute equaliser at the etihad Leadbitter put us in front at Old Trafford was great memories. Then that Stuani strike at Sunderland. I still remeber these moments more than I do the last few seasons in the championship

But did they thank you !!!!!!!!!

Teams in that league that have progressed as far as the quarters of the Champions League, won FACup, League Cup and Community Shield. Won the Premier League titles and played in the Uefa / European Cups. In that list, there are no clubs who havent been in the Premier League. The only thing which will stop every match reaching capacity will be the physical size of grounds, and silly rules limiting away fans. 46 games plus cup games - its going to be great (y)

Let’s face it, Leicester & Leeds are going to have the pulling power. (I can see Archer & Ramsay ending up at one of those clubs). Southampton have a lot of very good young players so I can see them doing well. We’d do well to make the playoffs again next season.
