Soyuncu's had injury bother though hasn't he, and hasn't played much, but Smith got him back in the fold, so he may stay due to that (if Smith stays), but we'll see.Soyuncu is one of the 7 players out of contract. As is Evans and Amartey. So they're struggling at centre back before they start.
Not a cat in hells chance of Barnes staying. He'll want to be away and they desperately need the money as they won't have access to any parachute payment.
I'm not ruling them out of the promotion race, but they'll have to do some canny business in the market to replace the 12-15 players who will leave over the summer.
Barnes is good, but I don't think he is as good as people say (and at 25 is as good as he's probably goign to get), and can't think out of who has stayed up where they would buy him and give him game time. He's got two years left on his deal, so they might try and keep him for a year, like how Watford held Pedro and Sarr. Leicester do need money though, but they will get a lot for some of their other players, there's a hell of a lot of value in their squad.
Some of the players might take a bit of responsibility and stay, but overall I think more would stay than they expect as they should go straight back up if they retain them.
Evans is 35, I think he will probably stay.
I'm not saying they won't all go mind, but if they do then they're going to recoup a hell of a lot of money, which I would assume would massively eclipse their debt due this year, or their parachute payments get used against that (if it's legal).
