I'd hope he does bring himself to be fair with the circus we've become lately it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't....All things considered I think it is probably the best appointment we could make, assuming he brings Carrick and Meulensteen with him. We would not get anywhere near coaches of their experience and standing without someone like Carrick fronting it.
Probably his own backroom staff, likely a say over recruitment along with the current staff. I just want a Boro team who play good football, work hard and give everything. It's not too much to ask; we'll never play like City or Liverpool but we should be more than good enough to win at this level. The way its gone from nailed on favourite to drifting and now back again ... anyone else get the impression he had some conditions that we have, at least now, decided to accept ?
I got told over the weekend that it broke down with Carrick last week cos we insisted that Percovich and Cattermole be part of his first team coaching staff, but he wouldn't budge insisting that he bring his own team in. I wouldn't be surprised after Saturday if we gone back to him cap in hand and agreed to what he wantsThe way its gone from nailed on favourite to drifting and now back again ... anyone else get the impression he had some conditions that we have, at least now, decided to accept ?
