Can Ben Houchen's new Charter City save Middlesbrough?

Another great article from NE Bylines. I'm baffled by the amount of meaningless management speak:
“It has been proposed that the bus station could be ‘decentralised’ into a number of mobility hubs or ‘superstops’ that can support electric and potential hydrogen transport".
Can someone translate that for me please?
They are selling the bus station to private bidders

Yep and just like that Houchen continues the Tory aim of taking public land and putting it into private hands.

If not already, I'd recommend people read - Rentier Capitalism. Who owns the economy and who pays for it. This book will open eyes to what has really happened in Britain since Thatcher's election in 79.

The people of Teesside and surrounding area have ”Gaslit” by these Tory b@st@rds for so long that they’re actually believing it hence the reason they‘re actually now voting for them.

He's got his eye on making a few bob out of 'buying' and developing a town centre spot perhaps. That's despite the fact that it's currently the busiest place in town.

It's the lack of integration of the various schemes that is so transparent.

Every one is just a nice little earner for someone.

The airport is the biggest example. It just sits there; there are no flights, there's no public transport infrastructure designed to feed into it. Still the money churns.
