The names are coming thick & fast now
We haven't fallen like a stone.They certainly haven't
My post was regarding since we both won promotion, we have fallen like a stone whereas Burnley have remained in the PL, not only survived in the PL but survived comfortably, a model we should follow
Have Burnley managed to reach the final of a European competition then?
It's not a game my Welsh friend. Let our fans bleat on about what Burnley have achieved for all l care. Similar platitudes have been made mentioning Bournemouth, Huddersfield and others, look where they are now.No but if you want to play that game have we ever won the League Championship or FA Cup?
. Yes, we beat em to progress to our 1st ever cup semi final when on December 1975 we won 2-0Anyone else got any thoughts actually about Burnley?

They've done well to be fair, but I wouldn't be surprised if once they go they drop through the divisions, as they have done before.
Agreed Soutra. But if we are to go back to the 60's we could have quite a list of clubs who have achieved well. Unless I'm mistaken the thread is referring to Burnley's current spell in the PL.Burnley won the top division title in 1960. They've won the FA Cup, runners up too, and were quarter finalists in the European Cup.
There's been a lot of famous players not mentioned - Ray Pointer, Jimmy Adamson, John Connelly (played in the 1966 World Cup), Tommy Lawton and Jimmy McIlroy.
Like someone else said, I wish Boro had managed all that.
