Burnley

They certainly haven't

My post was regarding since we both won promotion, we have fallen like a stone whereas Burnley have remained in the PL, not only survived in the PL but survived comfortably, a model we should follow
We haven't fallen like a stone.
Those who fall like a stone go into League 1 or below.

No but if you want to play that game have we ever won the League Championship or FA Cup?
It's not a game my Welsh friend. Let our fans bleat on about what Burnley have achieved for all l care. Similar platitudes have been made mentioning Bournemouth, Huddersfield and others, look where they are now.
It's always a good idea to be nice to people on the way up as you never know when you will meet them on the way down.
Also importantly, any team that signs Joey Barton will get no respect from me.

They beat us in the FA Cup Quarter Final Replay 1-0 in 1947 when Wembley beckoned for us.
Spot on Cardiff, we drew 1-1 at a record AP attendance & the replay was played on a quagmire, we also had a good goal disallowed & sadly, our hopes with it

You are an argumentative poster Barnsy, I honestly don't know why you come on here all you seem to do is cause issues, I'll leave it there
Just my opinion mind
Not arguing at all erimus. Can you point out the 'issues' ?

Now look what you've done erimus. Or was it planned? I can't see how my contributions above have caused such offence amongst the inner bubble.
Michael V(Dr Drake) has pressed the ignore button. A shame his busy life doesn't allow for common courtesies.🤔

Have Burnley managed to reach the final of a European competition then?

They've done well to be fair, but I wouldn't be surprised if once they go they drop through the divisions, as they have done before.

Burnley won the top division title in 1960. They've won the FA Cup, runners up too, and were quarter finalists in the European Cup.

There's been a lot of famous players not mentioned - Ray Pointer, Jimmy Adamson, John Connelly (played in the 1966 World Cup), Tommy Lawton and Jimmy McIlroy.

Like someone else said, I wish Boro had managed all that.

Agreed Soutra. But if we are to go back to the 60's we could have quite a list of clubs who have achieved well. Unless I'm mistaken the thread is referring to Burnley's current spell in the PL.
I did agree that they have done well to keep their place in the PL. My comments above are quite clear and weren't intended to be controversial.
