Burnley @ home tickets

I have noticed more seats have been available in the last few home games in the East Stand in the blocks closes the the away fans - Blocks 42 and 43. In effect reducing the gap between the Boro fans ands the visiting fans. This has increased the working capacity of the stadium from around 32,000 to approx 32,800.

There must be very close to 29,000 already sold with 8 days to go.

I can imagine a lot of drinking in the Town on Good Friday.

Opening up a little more of the east to home fans was mentioned in the recent MFC supporter minutes.
Part of a plan to reduce the amount of segregation seats.👍

Really disliked Burnley’s last visit with their fans. Horrible little groups of lads marching through the town and across the car parks singing Boro scum and definitely looking for a reaction. Fortunately none of our fans rose to the bait but I anticipate the same morons will be back for a Good Friday sesh

I read on their messageboard that given their points system the only fans who can get hold of the tickets with the points required are pensioners so the Burnley contingent will be full of silver heared fans with flat caps.

Yes have been reading a thread on their Board which has them all kicking off about loyalty points re the Blackburn game. Apparently they have only been given 2000 tickets for probably the game everybody wants to go to. Everybody over a certain level of points were put into a ballot for the tickets - apparently about 5000 fans with the required points ( mostly as Zoo says above - those who have had Season Tickets for ever) and 3,000 missed out. The "Rob Nichols' of their Board the fanzine editor "Claret Tony" who only missed a game through covid in the last 20 years hasn't got one and he is distraught and written an article in which he says " The Club should hang their heads in shame" arguing the supporters with the most points should have been given the tickets. A fierce debate has ensued which is worth a read for the different viewpoints and highlights that you can never have a system that would please everyone.

Thats an interesting read. My view is that Claret Tony has to suck it up as one of life's disappointments.

Bought the only empty seat next to our row of seats as a couple of my mates are coming - 1 spare ticket so splitting the cost of the other.

We are are making a bit of a day of it on Good Friday. Popping to see Redcar Athletic (12pm kick off) then heading into Boro after for some food and beverages before the game.

Looks like Saturday could well be a write off! 😄

Be nice if the club gave updates every so often, let people know might inspire folk to get tickets if some are umming and aahing over it

Loads leave it to the last minute. They could end up disappointed for this one.
Yeah i imagine so. Might be nice for the run in for the club to give some regular updates on the ticket sales - but i can see it from their point of view that if people want to go to the X match and its sold out, they might not choose another game they might spit their dummy out? Not sure what the clubs reason is to not divulge the figures out

Or conversely, if they miss out on Burnley, it may spur them on to not make that mistake again and get in early on the remaining run in games?
