Burnley @ home tickets

The real angst about the Blackburn game is that the rest of the away stand, which holds 8,000,is going to be left empty. The reason behind restricting the away support is purely and simply because they don't want Burnley fans to see the match. It isn't about wanting a small away following for football reasons, because they gave Norwich 4,000 tickets.

Middlesbrough v Burnley is different because you at least can hope to sell the rest of the tickets.
Agreed, leaving 6000 seats empty seems crazy.
Have Burnley fans caused any real problems in recent years (haven't heard if they have)?

Exactly. Blackburn are acting despicably in this instance frankly.

Not entirely. The block at the Riverside that is used for the default league away allocation I believe holds about 3500. It’s certainly configured to accommodate at least the 3000 required in the Prem. Although they never quite sell all those seats as they leave some dead for segregation, they usually allocate more than 2100. If that’s all Burnley are getting, then those seats are being left empty deliberately as they can’t be sold to home fans.

It’s not as extreme as what Blackburn are doing, but it feels like it’s all part of the same trend.

We used to give away fans up to 2,800 surprised we did not do that with Burnley as we know they would sell them.

I am not sure we will sell out - there are still around 2,950 tickets available.

When the kick off is pushed back to 8pm and live on Sky it cuts at least 10% off the crowd figure.

Sell out to me is going depend on this weekend's results.

There are still just over 3,000 unsold home seats available for the Burnley game.

Since the Spurs game more seats have been released and there is less segregation in the East Stand - possibly 2 blocks.

My guess is the new ticket sold capacity is more like 31,700, with only 2,200 for away fans (league games)

Crowds were going up last season under Wilder its not just under Carrick. The beginning of this season we must have had around 18,500 season ticket holders.
We have already sold that on early birds, there was a buzz under wilder but this is something else, watching the boro now feels surreal but the concern will be when carrick eventually goes will we crash and burn

Just released further seats in Blocks 54 and 55.Be virtually all the south stand if we sell these.

You are right another 350 seats just appeared in Blocks 54 and 55. So around 3,250 tickets still to sell, but if they are sold close to 32k crowd, because segregation has been cut.

Even with a 32k capacity there would be 2000 empty seats.
The max capacity in the prem last time was 32.7k, but that was with a 3k away allocation.

It's a shame the results didn't pan out like that.

Could still sell out though. Over 29k and counting.
Yes, but that's Championship football you can't win them all, only 75% of games under Michael Carrick.

Only 223 tickets left in the South Stand (corner flag to corner flag) and S/W Corner.

My target is to exceed 30,300 against Sunderland.

Around 29,500 at present? (Monday 11am)

Looks like they're still selling briskly.

I feel last weekend's result took some of the fizz out of this fixture. I'm sure if we'd have won, this would have been a sellout since Monday.
