Burnley @ home tickets

N/B

Just noticed its 6 columns of seats in Block 55 not 2 columns as was the csse in the Block above. My guess is more than 130 were added possible 180 to the South Stand this afternoon. They will probably all sell on Good Friday because that area is popular.

In the late Ali Brownlee's words the South Stand is now "The New Holgate". (idea for a T shirt) with Steve Gibson shaking hands v R/F comrade, sort of May 1945 Soviet/USA troops style).

Thinking back a little group of 30? Boro fans in tiny Block 53a in the very dark days of the 2009 relegation season (Red Faction) have now helped to create/bred a whole stand of 5,000? Boro Ultras. Its almost biblical with the 30 feeding the 5,000.
Block 55 may be easier to steward as it has a natural barrier between the away fans with the tunnel.

NR - More seats to the effective capacity were added yesterday. You have the capacity at 31,737, but the extras seats in blocks 54 and 55 would have increased it a little?

I agree with the 1,274 remaining.

Probably the largest Championship crowd at the Riverside today since the Brighton game in 2016, for a non Boxing Day.

Block 53.(y)

Not been able to go to a match in ages and it won't even let me buy one?

Need 2 priority points and I've got 0.

Will any come up later, or could my mate with a season ticket get me one?

Those have been factored in to the sold and remaining totals.

The last reduction in segregation only released 46 seats in B54 and 86 seats in B55.

Any thoughts on why there are still so many unavailable seats(2200 plus) despite moves to reduce the segregation seats?
Hard to say without being in the know.

The club doesn't sell those seats with obstructed views, near the tv gantry and camera positions in the east etc, and quite a few others are reserved for the media and such like.

That will knock a few of the unavailable total.

That is the problem .
Need purchase history and 2 loyalty points .
The occasional attendee is effectively blocked unless someone buys on their behalf .
Yup, seems a bit catch 22.
I struggle Saturdays with work, and our lass works Saturdays so I end up on dog duty, also play sport on a Saturday up until end of March.

Could make more of an effort on midweek games, but usually done in by the time they're on.

The reduced allocation Burnley were given can presumably only be achieved by not selling the seats. You can’t put Boro fans in them. So the extra sales in the South where the segregation margin is reduced will be offset partly by that.

I can see the clubs position: they would be punished for any disorder resulting from Burnley fans in the home end.

I think you're talking about a very small pool though: I expect we have around 50k fans with a purchase history.

I'd guess you're only thinking of a handful who would have considered making this their first match.

You can't please everyone.

A season ticket holder can buy tickets on behalf of others.

If you have their account number and address and pay cash at the Stadium you will be OK.

The stadium main ticket office is open now and the sattelite ticket offices around the Stadium are opening up this evening see link.

The club could have restricted it to purchasers with a verified TS postcode, but then some TS bright spark could have tried buying some and selling them to Burnley fans, say for £60 each and make a tidy profit.

So no real benefit of the overall crowd, but maybe a few more seats for home fans.
However, if it doesn't sell out we may been better off giving Burnley a bigger allocation.
