Its a slightly naive post and does sweep some problems under the carpet
I feel there is some truth we could have done better with what we had, but at the same time we had to struggle with more injuries and disruptions that most if not all Championship clubs (Lenihan, Smith, Bengura, McGree, Brynn, Dieng, Doak missed more than 50% of the season, some 100%). At times we seem to have a bit of the the gypsy curse - hitting the woodwork four times in our last 3 games for example.
But then other times we used subs more poorly that other teams, we missed 2 key penalties that cost us at least 3 points, we didn't mix our playing style so were predictable, we didn't have enough physicality, possibly we just didn't work hard and/or clever enough to times particularly when we didn't have the ball etc
Burgzorg - did say a definite truth in his post - "Boro fans you were brilliant"
