Bumping Up Old Threads

I think this would be a terrible idea.

Old threads are pulled up all the time, often by the poster Cress, with updates on say players we were once linked to. I mean that’s just one of many other reasons not to install this software.

I don't do it, but I don't mind it when an old erroneous post of mine is highlighted. Sometimes it's interesting to see what I said a year ago.

Who here hasn't been wrong at some time or other? There are no football geniuses here. We're big enough to shrug it off.

I don’t think there is anything sinister about hoofing old threads, I think people just take it as a good laugh. We all get things wrong.

It doesn’t bother me and I’m sure we’ll all look silly on some threads from the past, at one point or another. We all get things wrong from time to time and we all change our opinions so I think it’s a valid discussion to have occasionally. I’d hope nobody really takes the old threads being dragged back up to heart. I think we are all big and ugly enough to cope with a bit of ribbing/ ‘looka what you said ere 6 months ago, ya numpty!’

I like reading old threads. Going back to see how people thought at a particular time. Are we in a relegation battle thread, someone responded by saying "We won the battle" The thread was worth re-reading for that alone.

Doesn't bother me at all, I think in a lot of cases it keeps the forum cleaner to have everything on a subject in one thread.

I've always been a fan of @Cress adding new information to old threads.

No thanks, we are all supposed to be grown ups. If old threads get bumped, it can be interesting reading old viewpoints. If people are ridiculed or don't like it, then they can either not respond, or reach out to admin for arbitration.
