7 games in and he has 4 goals.

being used as a sub - replacing Balotelli at the hour mark.

he will be having a right good laugh this morning, as he scored again on satda' that was the third of the week. - he hit a 97th minute equaliser away at Besiktas on the tuesday night to make it 3-3.

good on the lad.

We have a habit with strikers of not playing to their strengths .. Pulisball or Warnock Ooof doesn't suit players like Brit .. create a steady stream of chances in and around the box and Brit will score goals.

When the dust settles, he shouldn't be looked back on unfavourably. Ok he didn't try a leg in some games but you can't argue with the fact that he's our top scorer at the Riverside.

Fletcher and Britt last season blatantly tossed it off, probably not wanting to risk an injury before leaving.

At least Britt actually scored a few for us and was generally fit and available. Fletcher was pretty much a liability from day 1 but seemed to get better in our fan's eyes every time he was out with a "niggle" but avoided grief as people could see his "potential" and he just needed a "run of games".

I disagree entirely he was half hearted at best and should be remembered as such. Its not always the skill that's remembered in regard to ex players but the effort and commitment to the club. He was a better striker than say archie stephens but i have greater fondness for Archie than britt any day of the week.

It’s like a testimonial league, where all the old stars go for a few bob to top up their pension. The step before playing in “Soccer aid”.
