I wonder if Lewis sees Lando as someone he can pass the torch to as it were. That is interesting. I wonder what the Lewis Lando lovefest is all about then? They keep bigging each other up. I thought it was to Lewis trying to get Lando to join Merc
He might do. Interesting that it’s pretty much rebelling against Merc and Toto who’d clearly want him to promote RussellI wonder if Lewis sees Lando as someone he can pass the torch to as it were.
I guess there’s some cachet in the name Williams, it has a history. I can’t see many people buying flags for Dorilton Captial racing! I guess Frank and Claire were happy for the name to be kept alive after they bowed outnever quite worked out for lewis and jenson though did it?
Russell did very well yesterday, the Williams must have improved over the winter massively with the new owners.
Thought the team would have been given a new name?
Pit stops are allowed. They just aren’t mandatoryNo pit stops allowed in the sprint race, so what happens if someone gets a first lap puncture? Do they have to retire and start on the back row on Sunday?
Thanks. It's not worded like that in the explanation on the BBC website.Pit stops are allowed. They just aren’t mandatory
Yeah it’s a free for all with tyres too. I don’t know if they get an extra set for it? I guess not just won’t lose one of their free practice setsThanks. It's not worded like that in the explanation on the BBC website.
No but if max or Lewis get a puncture early on, they could definitely catch up to, say the Haas and maybe more to make their grid position slightly betterI can't see any purposeful pitstops happening in a 17 lap sprint race .
No, it’s a trial event in three races this year. I thought it went ok. More racey than I thought to begin with.Had the qualifying on. Found it boring. Are they doing all qualification like this now?
Yeah I think it was always going to end like that. Especially with the blistering. But with Sainz trying to get back from the contact and pretty much everyone trying to get their place back from the weave-tastic Alonso there was a little bit of actionThe first few laps were OK but after that it just seemed to be a case of 'holding station'.
It's a 3pm start Acklam. Can't see anyone leaving the circuit before 5pm.****. I'm meeting someone at northampton services tmrw at 5.... I guess the a43 will be screwed. wot time does it all finish tmrw, anyone had any experience of it?
