The Statue of Cloughie should be moved from Albert Park to Riverside Stadium so it's safe.. Do you agree?
we defo need to do more around the stadium, makes sense to move itThe Statue of Cloughie should be moved from Albert Park to Riverside Stadium so it's safe.. Do you agree?
What happened?
If we were to have a new statue of anyone, first in the queue for recognition without doubt should be George Camsell.Yeah I think it should be moved to the Riverside
I ALSO THINK a fund should be started for Steve Gibson Statue - he might as well see it while he is alive
It seems to me that the Clough statue is in the most appropriate place. And, unless there are exceptional circumstances, statues should only be put up when the subject is dead.
Where it was erected is where it should stay. If Boro fans want a statue of Clough near to the ground they should pay for one.
Agreed, although this is a relocation rather than a new statue. I always liked the idea of an avenue of heroes. If we get back in the prem then it's a great feature to add to the uniqueness of our stadium.iF WE

Then perhaps that should be argued for. Petition the council to repair it properlyI don't think that's the point of the petition.
It's repeatedly suffered damage to the ankle and is structurally unsound.
Rather than repairing it properly the council have had ugly metal fencing around it for years.
That's less likely to happen at the Riverside.
I'd have no problem with it remaining in Albert Park if the council actually fixed and maintained it.
It was from his home wasn't it?It was designed and placed there for a reason (if i recall correctly it depicts him walking from his digs to Ayresome Park for training) so to move it doesn't make sense.
Not sure the damage has been caused by vandals (as Bernie suggests) but just because it isn't correctly and safely fixed in place. Just put that right and leave it where it is
Yes you could be right. I know he was definitely being depicted walking to training so it is positioned as such that he is walking away from home to the groundIt was from his home wasn't it?
