a choice that russia paid to achieve. Of course we are politically isolated. This government is not trusted for it's handling of Brexit, it's lies and rhetoric, and it's relationship with Russia.

If by that you mean we have diverged from the EU and have no say in their policies, then yes, that is because we are not a member of the club, just an associate. We do trade but on different terms and yes it is more difficult to trade. I also accept the type of brexit agreed was shambolic. We had good compromises such as Norway or Canada style options but this shambles of a government (that many remainers bizarrely voted for) settled on this stupid hybrid which even I don’t support.

That sounds like you're agreeing we are more isolated, but you want to save face so you're using weasel words like "diverge" to hide it.

I respect that. It's a god way of saving face. A very bad way of convincing those of us who think we are isolated wrong but a good way of saving face.

I never said trade isn’t more difficult, the type of brexit chosen through your choice of government saw to that unfortunately. It is your use of the word isolate that i have issue with as i do with your voting for a government guaranteeing to get brexit done, tres bizarre.

I am not trying to convince you of anything, I am merely commenting on choice of words, as for saving face, do me a favour 😂

Ah, now you are moving the goalposts a little. You said we were isolated, now you are saying it is only to some extent. Your government, which you helped get elected, the one that guaranteed to get brexit done, that unfortunately we all are stuck with, agreed a fudge of a deal. Better options were on the table but sadly rejected. You helped ensure it got over the line I wanted a second referendum as it became clear what your government was intending, you voted to ensure the type of brexit agreed got over the line, I voted Labour 🤷‍♂️
 
It’s hard to gauge brexit yet and get comparisons. The world has been in **** state since it went through and other problems have contributed to trade and relations, the pandemic, tanker in canal, war in Ukraine.
 
Maybe Leave voters didn't specifically vote to have a Russian resource at the head of government and didn't vote to allow far-right disaster capitalists free rein over the UK, but that's what we've got, like it or not. People just hate to admit they've been conned.

It really isn't. As someone who imports and exports from and to EU countries, it's dead easy to compare before and after.

It’s not though. The unforeseen pandemic put all kind of hurdles in the way regards trade and movement. Brexit or no brexit. It’s not a comparison between the world now and the world in 2018.
