Brexit voters

Maybe Leave voters didn't specifically vote to have a Russian resource at the head of government and didn't vote to allow far-right disaster capitalists free rein over the UK, but that's what we've got, like it or not. People just hate to admit they've been conned.
True!

Honestly, somebody is really going to have to tell me what the point of engaging with the sort of nonsense we are seeing on this thread is. People literally arguing black is white coupled with obvious and clear ignorance.

According to people on this thread, we can't compare trading pre and post Brexit because of the hurdles that the pandemic has created, we aren't more isolated post Brexit, we have a hybrid Brexit deal and, my favourite, we should have gone for a Norway or Canada style deal - I mean come on! Seriously? After 6 years people still don't understand the basics and are still denying reality. It beggars belief.

I agree with that. I don't think we are more insolated. This government could not make a seagull with a dioritic bowel have a cra p.

We clearly are. The French are complaining just today that they can't work as closely diplomatically with us as we previously would on the Ukraine situation.

Economically, we are outside the Single Market and Customs Union and don't have any influence on product rules and regulations.

Ever get the feeling they are better off without us?

Interesting look into the mindset of the brexitist that some of the arguments FOR brexit are lower standards and more relaxed laws.
One of the things that concerned me most about brexit was this. It's not like the leading brexiters didn't flag their intentions either. "Britannia Unchained" anyone? It might as well have been called "how to exploit our working classes".

All very well "taking back control" but people just didn't think (or understand) who they were going to be handing this "control" to. Because it certainly wasn't and never was going to be to your average citizen.

We've "taken back control" (of some things) and handed it to a bunch of crooks. Brilliant.

There will always be another excuse with this particular government as to why things don't get done properly.

You only have to look at the last couple of days with the Ukrainian refugee situation. They've made all sorts of excuses as to why it's bad, while proclaiming that they've been leading the world.

The latest nonsense over night was surrounding the fear that refugees would come in via Ireland because of the Common Travel Area. Despite this only applying to Irish and British people.
