Simon Armitage's rewriting of "The Odyssey". It's very good. The poetry's great, but I've fallen into Natalie Haynes' reworkings this year and I think I'll be in them for a while yet.

Played the Kidology........a Radiohead Companion that was free with Decembers edition of Mojo. Played it in the car while out and about (realise not best place to hear new music) What a load of dross. Nothing on it that would enhance my life by listening to it again. Went straight in the bin when I got home.

Funnily enough it'd be the third one down on your list that I'd choose out of your three (unbelievable voice).

In fairness I've never listened to much Echo and the Bunnymen. Always been a band I've meant to try some albums of but never got around to it, might need to rectify that!

I've got a digital subscription to Mojo these days so don't get the CDs - that one mentioned above looks great though. Three of my favourite artists straight off the bat.

Today I've listened to X - Wild Things (first time, and really like it).

And it must be autumn as Rough Trade have released their albums of the year so working my way through that - enjoyed Porridge Radio so far
