Black Lives Matter

Candace Owens - a woman who has acclaimed Donald Trump as the "savior" of Western civilization, describes the Ku Klux Klan is a "Democrat terrorist organization" and says the NRA was founded as a civil rights organization to arm black people.
 
If you look beyond what you know of her and just listen I would say a lot of what she talks is nonsense but she also makes some debatable points. First time I’ve heard or seen anything by her.

That's a fair point.
That lockdown measures have given me a lot of time to educate myself on matters I usually wouldn't blink an eye at.

I'm with fatcat, I don't like her. I can't really warm to any Trump supporter, and certainly not a female one. There has to be some problem with female Trump supporters given his inherent misogyny. I seriously think anyone woman who supports someone with such disrespect of woman has something wrong with them. However her views are worth listen. They give the far rights side of the story but in a way that means you can't just dismiss it by saying "yeah but you're just a middle aged, privileged white man, what would you know"
 
People posting videos by Ben Shapiro and Candace Owens, really? Rico claiming BLM are causing more harm than good?

Strange thread. Fair enough if those people don’t know who Shapiro and Owens are.

Nothing good about being harassed, kicked about, murdered because of your skin colour for decades.

Just reading Andre Grey’s thoughts today, He can’t remember how many times he has been stopped by the police or followed around a store all because of his skin colour.
Imagine having to accept that day in day out.

Why do you think someone like Shapiro would post something like that?

The same Shapiro who absolutely shredded Kaepernick years ago for kneeling peacefully before NFL games by the way.

So you've watched the video presumably? And can you understand the point being made? I'm not interested in, certainly not agreeing with Shapiro's views on other topics, I'm only raising the content of this video as a discussion point. Its important to see all sides in order to form a balanced view

Do you think there is a valid point raised, or at least highlighted in the video?

I think it's sad that people's businesses are being destroyed but if it is the only way that people are going to be heard then I'm not going to complain about it. Shapiro has posted that video for a reason, he has motives to do so and like I said I don't give a **** about anything he's posted when the same man also complained about Kaepernick prostesting peacefully.

There's nothing good about being held back, being pre judged, having to work harder and be given lies just because of the colour of your skin.

You really should be careful when trying to deflect away from black rights issues. It starts sending the wrong message

So you're happy to ignore black people looting other black people's businesses in the name of protest against racism simply because of who originally shared the video, bearing in mind of course it isnt his footage. Who do black lives matter to? Everyone? Should this behaviour be ignored because of who has shared it online? Should black lives matter to other black people?
