It doesn't validate FIFA. It does nothing. You watching or not watching will not make one jot of difference. There are plenty of things a person can do if they want to make a difference.

I believe that it does. Lower viewing figures will damage their ability to raise ad revenue in the future at the very least. To be honest though, I'm not that bothered about whether my own actions make a difference. I'm just one person with very little power. It's more of a personal principles issue, than anything else.

I have some sympathy with your post but my objection to the tournament isn't Qatar per se, or any other individual country. I want nothing to do with the tournament because it's run by FIFA, an incorrigibly corrupt organisation.

Klopp nailed it in his interview, the time to get up protest and make a big deal about it was when they were announced as the holders, it was so obvious they were corrupt, to stop it now after hundreds have died building them seems too late.

Yes it’s at a stupid time of year. Which probably explains a lot of the indifference towards it.

There was a lot of controversy about it being in Russia.

People will just get on with it, it feels wrong and feels more so than with South Africa and Russia.. probably because of South Africa and Russia.. yet we’re still no further forward.
