Best free kick scored by a boro player

Clever from Gazza.

That was an important goal.
It was the first game after Merson left, and Gazza was getting a big part of the blame for him leaving.
We hadn't won any of the first 3 games and the dark clouds were starting to gather.
Then this goal won the game, our first win of the season, and things suddenly looked a lot brighter.

Even more so when Hamilton Ricard destroyed Spurs (or more specifically Sol Campbell) at White Hart Lane a few days later :).

In terms of the importance of it, you can’t look past JFH V City.

Although that Rochemback goal is one of the best I’ve ever seen in football

This one for me stands long in my mind..https://youtu.be/ocLump8fDog?si=N00CNenF4pZv-TMW
Those were the days, grassless pitch, very short shorts, Brucie, and a 70's style grey haired referee wearing the proper referee black strip.

I'm going for Jimmy Floyd hasselbaink away at man city!! To beat David James from that far out with such power it was an incredible strike.

I'd post the link but not sure how!!

Without going beyond this post…

Was my go to.. not just because of how good it was, power accuracy , but the importance in our history.. another go at Europe and hitting the final. (I have had a wine so might be confused). Then skipped pens save from ever dependent Fowler … WOW
