It’s a detective series based in Norwich. Swallow is a detective who tackles vandalism. Bit of a maverick, not afraid to break the law if he thinks it's necessary. He's not a criminal, you know, but he will, perhaps, travel 80mph on the motorway if, for example, he wants to get somewhere quickly.

Bergerac had an array of glamorous girlfriends I recall although not sure if Lisa Goddard was one or just a platonic friend. I recall she may have been some kind of friendly jewel thief and Jim used to let her off a lot. But never had a romantic fling with her.
