Bangura Injured

Might just turn our hand if true.

And also strengthen Hull’s bargaining position
Maybe this is why the club are keeping bangara’s injury very low key and if it’s an Achilles injury then understandable, if he have to go get Giles or someone else and not look desperate.

And he’s clearly arrived here injury prone now after this….it is what it is…bit like Alan Comfort, the left wing wizard back in the day
What could’ve been (!)
His days are numbered unfortunately….

Watched the latest podcast from Scott Wilson and Dom Shaw last night on YT (excellent these two, by the way) and they were going through the possible starting line up as the squad stands. Discussing possible options for positions.
They went for Engel at left back with not a single mention of bangura.
I think this pretty much confirms the injury and the press blackout of it. Which is absolutely fair enough in my opinion.

and if that is the case, left back is the weakest part of our first XI and also we have no depth and are a single injury away from playing someone out of position. We don't need to start the season with a Trippier situation

I've gone from thinking Gilo would be a lovely option to have signed, to him being absolutely essential to the future success of this team.. 😆

Ironically the only game England lost was the one Trippier didn't play in
He was about to come on with Gallagher when Spain scored the winner - and after that Toney was put on instead

I reckon our full back positions need addressing quite urgently now.
Smith has been out an age, isn't in full training yet and as a bog standard Championship player, should only be used as cover anyhow.
Bangura looks like being out for a long time (again), leaving only Engel at LB.

If we are to challenge for promotion we need to sort this out before the first game.

Gutted about bangara….had such high hopes for him but I’ll happily drive him somewhere else now after this, the lad is made of glass unfortunately.
Replace and move on…

Carrick says ;

“Alex had an issue when we were in Portugal, and we’re working through that to see where he’s at. He also had a baby last week, which was great for him so that was another reason why he wasn’t here. We’re having a look at the extent of the issue, and we’ll try to get him back as soon as we can."

Code for out for the season….

Doesn't come across that way to me. I'd say it's more like the opposite - sounds like he's saying it's unlikely he's out for the season (although it could be a while).

Carrick talks about it and says absolutely nothing other than a load of words.

Sit down and read that carefully 🤔

It’s a smart communication strategy that Carrick uses time and again when it isn’t good news regarding a player’s status.

Only had problems with injury since he joined us played a lot of games for Cambuur its just unfortunate. Could still prove to be a very good signing
