Maybe this is why the club are keeping bangara’s injury very low key and if it’s an Achilles injury then understandable, if he have to go get Giles or someone else and not look desperate.Might just turn our hand if true.
And also strengthen Hull’s bargaining position
and if that is the case, left back is the weakest part of our first XI and also we have no depth and are a single injury away from playing someone out of position. We don't need to start the season with a Trippier situationWatched the latest podcast from Scott Wilson and Dom Shaw last night on YT (excellent these two, by the way) and they were going through the possible starting line up as the squad stands. Discussing possible options for positions.
They went for Engel at left back with not a single mention of bangura.
I think this pretty much confirms the injury and the press blackout of it. Which is absolutely fair enough in my opinion.
Ironically the only game England lost was the one Trippier didn't play inand if that is the case, left back is the weakest part of our first XI and also we have no depth and are a single injury away from playing someone out of position. We don't need to start the season with a Trippier situation
If we are to challenge for promotion we need to sort this out before the first game.I reckon our full back positions need addressing quite urgently now.
Smith has been out an age, isn't in full training yet and as a bog standard Championship player, should only be used as cover anyhow.
Bangura looks like being out for a long time (again), leaving only Engel at LB.
Doesn't come across that way to me. I'd say it's more like the opposite - sounds like he's saying it's unlikely he's out for the season (although it could be a while).Gutted about bangara….had such high hopes for him but I’ll happily drive him somewhere else now after this, the lad is made of glass unfortunately.
Replace and move on…
Carrick says ;
“Alex had an issue when we were in Portugal, and we’re working through that to see where he’s at. He also had a baby last week, which was great for him so that was another reason why he wasn’t here. We’re having a look at the extent of the issue, and we’ll try to get him back as soon as we can."
Code for out for the season….
Carrick talks about it and says absolutely nothing other than a load of words.Doesn't come across that way to me. I'd say it's more like the opposite - sounds like he's saying it's unlikely he's out for the season (although it could be a while).
That he's out for quite a while...seems I was given correct info Big AlWhat have you heard like?
Only had problems with injury since he joined us played a lot of games for Cambuur its just unfortunate. Could still prove to be a very good signingGutted about bangara….had such high hopes for him but I’ll happily drive him somewhere else now after this, the lad is made of glass unfortunately.

I liked Luke Thomas, I thought he was steady and reliable and he didn’t really ever get a real run of games like a 10 game stretch to get into his rhythmGet Luke Thomas's agent back on the blower
He’s completely finished the ladI'd rather have George Friend back than Luke Thomas
