Bamford starts for England

Probably worked out for the best for him, Bielsa has undoubtedly improved him. No chance he’d be an England player now if he stayed with us
 
He's coming off after 60 minutes without ever really impacting the game, I'm surprised.

He didn't look confident all match.
 
He definitely didn’t appear confident or even to be enjoying himself if i’m honest, I noted that whilst watching.

He lacked service and I’m sure he will get another chance to notch for England.
 
it’s never that easy to always create clear cut chances for a forward who makes runs in behind against a team that have no real ambition to win and hope to just keep the score down and defend their box, especially if your midfield is lacking creativity.

obviously not the dream debut but the players there to supply the strikers didn’t do him any favours.

Kane hasn’t had a sniff either except taking the penalty.
 
Some lovely stuff being played at times now, more like what you'd expect, even ignoring the goals.

Lingard has been involved in most good things for England today.

Really happy to see Saka score, I hope he enjoyed that as a birthday present.
 
England have looked good since Bamford went off.

Seriously though, that's how these matches go. The minnows can keep it respectable for 60-70 minutes, but tire towards the end which inevitably leads to goals.

Lingard looked bright even earlier on when the game was tighter.
