Bad day to be a Tory

And of course, just to make it crystal clear to anybody left in any doubt as to what level of incompetent fuckwittery this government is operating at ….

they changed the guidance for 8 regions the other day, but didn’t bother to actually tell the public in those regions that they
shouldn’t leave the area, or enter it, shouldn’t mix inside etc etc. This morning that idiot Coffrey was sent out to make out like they are surprised people aren’t aware….yeah…it’s the public’s fault. They are clearly going back to that one now, especially given the new guidance is all done under the guise of ‘advice’ so they can come back and blame the public for any increased spread, at a later date.

Utterly, dangerously, incompetently, shamelessly screwing the country, while robbing the public blind and hopelessly failing to protect us or to prevent the bodies from piling up high..

There's also the regional advice that was published in 'areas of concern' without any consultation with local authorities and national representatives despite Mark Harper, the MP who is the chair of the Conservative Covid Recovery Group claiming in February that any variant could not be tackled on a regional basis and the Prime Minister himself saying that the infectiousness of the new variant making regional localised restrictions 'unworkable'.

Like I keep repeating the flaws of this government are based on incompetence and an an inability to have cogency and clarity on much of its Covid policy, my criticism is based on inability not ideology.

I think most of us would rather have had a well thought out strategy for a pandemic response that actually worked, regardless of who that strategy came from.

It's much more importat that people don't die than being able to finger point after the fact AM. Of that we should all be in agreement, you would hope.

I found out the other day we actually do have a well thought out pandemic response. The problem is we don’t use it. Singapore has used it. Singapore has recorded 5 deaths per million people. I wonder if we compare well to that

How is anyone surprised in the slightest that this government used the pandemic to line their own pockets and those of their donors and masters at a time when people were losing their lives and people were losing jobs etc.

the perfect Brexit smokescreen.

Part of the problem is that pretty much the entire Cabinet have been appointed on the basis of ideology and loyalty, as opposed to capability.

The other part is the person who appointed them.

None of sticks......They have the press and media sown up and most of the electorate aren't interested unless it plays to their prejudices.....

So Boris Johnson is "sorry" if a minority found what he said about Muslim's offensive and now that that he is PM he would never say what he said then, now.

Oh, that's OK then. Total whitewash that will be out the news as fast as possible.
It's like one of those posts you see on the internet
I'm not racist but.......... You all know what comes next.

Interestingly enough, my brother in law was over at the weekend and he thinks the bbc are biased to the left. Whilst he is a bit right of center. he isn't stupid. He even thought Kuensberg was favouring the left.

I found his point of view interesting. I didn't agree with him, but interesting.
