Bad day to be a Tory

I think you might find Mary that harking back to Brexit is a dead duck. It's happened . Get over it and move on.
Unless you want to resurrect the Suez Crisis and blame the current Government !
I was only responding to Ricard19 point regarding the media and it’s opposition to Brexit, perhaps mention it to him and tell him to move on might be a better idea and make you look a bit more switched on 👍

What is becoming increasingly apparent about the BBC is that it is incredibly badly managed and has been for years. It isn't even any good at cover-ups.

On the main topic, I don't think the average voter gives a toss about Islamophobia or antisemitism or the misbehaviour of individual MPs. It's important for the Government and the parties to take a stand and deal with these issues, but I don't think there are too many votes in it.

Hundred Room's on my ignored list (members: 1) but I clicked to read a comment of his, which is this:

"And you think a serving prime minister would cover for a paedophile in the knowledge that he was ?
As I presume that is what you are implying?"

that's what they do try to get you arguing talking about or debating about something else "nothing to see here but what about this"

The BBC is very much to the left with their programming, comedy & documentaries their news & politics reporting however is so far right if geobbels were alive today he would look at the BBC with envy that the British government has such a successful propaganda outfit it would made his attempts look rank amateur.

As for the racism this only makes him more popular it appeals to his core voters bet his popularity goes up in the polls over the next few weeks.

That Boris fella he's gonna kick em all out in he.

Bozo Racist nah
It's a good point about racism. Given Alexander "Boris" Johnson's numerous racist remarks and the party getting and remaining in power on a ticket of Brexit. It makes sense to pander to bigots and hatred

From an outsiders perspective, and just viewing the BBC on BBC World and through their website, perhaps they do have the balance right?
If those leaning to the right think it is left bias, and those leaning to the left think it is right bias, are they down the middle?

If you're all the way in NZ and scarcely watching the BBCs news output you'll perhaps not realise how right leaning it's become.

In the last election they ran tough holding to account interviews with all the party leaders except for Boris. When Boris turned up to the cenotaph on remembrance Sunday hungover and placed his wreath upside down they 'accidentally' showed the wrong tape from another year. When Boris appeared on a question time debate and the audience were laughing at his stupid replies the BBC 'accidentally' edited out the laughter for later news bulletins.

When Labour announced a policy to nationalise broadband provision the BBC called it 'Internet Communism'. They used a Moscow backdrop when discussing Corbyn on the news. When a stressed out dad had a go at Boris in a hospital Kuensberg found his social media and doxxed the poor guy. The day before the election Kuensberg illegally announced on politics live that the tories had done really well with postal votes.

The balance of guests on politics live, newsnight and question time is always 2, 3 or 4 from the right to 1 from the "left". And usually it's someone on the left who's viewpoint is "Labour should move to the right to be electable". When they go through the newspaper headlines on a Sunday the observer gets introduced as "left leaning". No newspaper ever gets introduced as "right leaning".

So no. Its not balanced. Nobody who claims its left leaning will give you any list like the above to evidence why they think it is.

you're on my ignore list too but I always click on your posts to read them.

Make your mind up Mappy. You recently said I was the only one of your ignore list when playing the victim as usual, simply because I pulled you up (and will continue to do so) on the abhorrent behaviour you've displayed on this board. The fact you weren't banned underlines the fact the admin are more tolerant of idiots than you and your ilk pretend.

You're a bitter and twisted idiot but the reasons for that are yours to deal with and you should do so without bringing your bitterness and nastiness to most others on the board.

If @HarryVegas is on your block list it must be a mile long because there are far, far more vocal and less polite posters than him on this board.

As ever, you'll be pleased to see you've managed to derail the thread though along with a few of the other usual suspects. It's amazing that for a supposed 'leftie echo chamber' that there are a number of posters that ALWAYS derail any thread that is anti-corruption, anti-Johnson or anti-Tory yet all of you love claiming your voices aren't heard and that right-leaning thinking is somehow not allowed.

The reality is that people like you rarely offer any debate and simply take things off topic with your bitter rants and crazy ideas. I wonder why that is?

For those who care

I don't know why someone who lives in Colombia is so worried about the BBC

I'm the bogey man for the naughty kids, bless them ;)

They try to fill up that big black hole they harbour inside but alas it's always still there. Even now there'll be one of them scanning this post and sharing it with the rest of the bitter boys, who'll join in the badly spelled feast. What a way to spend your limited time on the planet.

Your brother in law is spot on . The BBC is ridiculously biased towards the left and has been caught out in it's news bulletins and question time countless times.
Kuensburg and her cronies despise everything to do with the Tories and Brexit.
Maybe you should have waited for Cummings testimony before making that ridiculous statement about Laura K.

Oh dear. Poor you

The majority of the media are left leaning...

Hahahahahaha

Hahahahahha

Hahaha

Ha
It's not really about left and right though is it? Primarily because of the charade over charter renewal every so often the BBC can't afford to upset the government too much be it Labour or Conservative.

I think you are wrong - I'm in the US and I regularly watch BBC news programmes.

I stand educated. I didn't know any of that - really shocking

And you think a serving prime minister would cover for a paedophile in the knowledge that he was ?
As I presume that is what you are implying?
Yes her name was Margaret Thatcher she did it because she didn't want to bring down the establishment & every serving PM since her has covered for them.
David steel the leader of the Lib Dems at the time knew about Cyril Smith & what he was doing but chose to say nothing.
Whoever was labour leader when Janner was abusing kids will have known but again chose to say nothing.
The MP's who openly supported PIE their leaders will have known about that & whoever was PM then
So did a serving prime minister knowingly cover for peadophiles (plural).
You bet your ars* they did.
Everyone who knew what these dirty bastarrds were doing should be charged as accomplices.
