Ayling competition

He’d be mad to go there. I’m sure everyone will be giving him horror stories about wilder to put him off

depends what they are offering him, we know wilder likes to throw decent money at older experienced heads, with the parachute payments available to them they may make him an offer he can’t refuse.

They'll have the gratuitous parachute payments.. so may be able to offer ridiculous wages for a time, he may be swayed by that - it is just a job, for them, after all..

MOTD muppets saying both Sheff Utd & Burnley will stroll the Championship next season.. I don't think they'll have the stomach for it again, too cosy in their Premier League contracts & all will be looking to leave..

I think Burnley will do well, they have stuck to the style of play they went up with, added to squad. Imagine they will come down keep pretty all players, have advantage of parachute payments and add to what they got.

Sheff u might be different matter though, thought they got more out of that team in promotion season than they should have, lost the two best players and struggled all season. Saying that they do have a premier league manager 😉

Can't do better than have a manager with PL experience on his Cee Vehh..

I wouldn't be surprised if several clubs will want him. Especially as 'leaders' and players of his experience are not always available.

He's also impressed. So maybe makes less of a gamble for others about 'legs going' etc.

I imagine we will want him. He ticks many boxes and has been superb since he signed. Especially once up to speed as he'd hardly had a kick prior to joining us.

The deciding factor will probably be contract length rather than wages. If a club offers him a two year deal and we offered a one year he'd be mad not to take the 2. It's probably his last move. So security for him and his family will be priority.

I thought Boro's location would help. He could continue living in Leeds (or wherever he lives). Yet Sheff UTD would offer a similar location. Hopefully we will have a headstart on any other club. He seems to be enjoying himself. That is of course if we are even in for him.

Good though he has been recently it wont be a disaster if he plumps for life under Wilder at Sheffield United. We need experience yes but we also need youthful energy as well.
