PFI was poorly executed, but Blair had to do something because our infrastructure had been run into the ground, and after boom and bust the coffers were bare. Blaming Blair for having to raise capital under expensive terms is missing the root cause, over a decade of Tory neglect of our national assets and infrastructure.....history repeats, here we are again.
They want a return on investment prior to the next election cycle, it's a failure of our system of governance.
