Attendance today

I don't think it was 24,600 as stated.I think that attendance was fabricated, as with most grounds. Millwall only had about four or five hundred supporters there.

24600 includes season ticket holders who didn't attend. Although I doubt that would be significant enough to be noticeable to the naked eye.
Why would it be fabricated?
I remember in the 70s and 80s there were suspicions that Amer under reported attendances for tax reasons (not to mention all the 'squeezes' mister), but never inflated them.
 
It was fairly full.

7,000 empty seats, with about 2000+ of them being in the away end seems about right to my eyes.

But I couldn't see the north stand, so there might have been plenty of gaps there.

How wonderfull seeing our future "project players doing so well.
Even Hoppe and others are chomping at the bit to get game time.
As far as my memory stretches over two months ago - the only player who wasnt at the club before Wilder was sent packing- Was Cameron Archer?
The lads in the car were speculating whether any Manager in the Championship or Premiership has won as many trophies and got so many England Caps as Michael Carrick.
We couldnt think of anyone?

Definitely an improved gate today. The car parking is starting to creep further along South Bank Road towards Cargo Fleet offices.
 
The North Stand was more full than it has been. The west lower was full apart from either end. Get the West Upper edges filling up and we will be getting around 27k which will be brilliant.

The atmosphere today was good too. The South Stand got it going. I wish the North Stand could generate more noise these days. For those in there is it hard to get groups of fans singing?

The north stand attempted to get the "we're the north stand" chant" going a couple of times, but the South didn't respond
