Fletcher's scored 11 in a struggling side. He's a young lad, still improving and he's got pace and strength. We don't have any money to splash out on a replacement and even if we did it would probably be someone similar.

We need to have patience and nurture our young players like Fletcher, Tav, Wing, Spence and Coulson. That's the ONLY way forward for MFC at this point in time not as you suggest cash in/get rid etc. just because we don't get instant success !

Ha! i meant for the future.... maybe need to backtrack a touch, but i do think they are cracking modern fullbacks that will play at premier league level, i mean like Spurs or Everton or us hopefully the season after next.
 
When he first signed he used to get pelters off of everybody. I'll admit I wasn't a fan when he first signed but he's improved a lot. 3 year deal is a must.
 
We may have to sell Fletcher , Britt and fry to get some funds to boost the squad
23 players out this summer if the above 3 are sold . That is some recruiting to be done
10 youth players , Ayala , Gestede and maybe Shotton , Clayton , Johnson , Friend Pears and the above 3 , + the 3 loan players = 23.
Huge amount of recruitment work to do in a short time .Maybe we won't bring 23 in , but I expect at least 13-15 .

Also Roberts, Nmecha, Morrison and Moukoudi won’t be here. I think loosing that many players and possibly Britt aswell surely mean we can afford to keep Fletcher.
 
I would have thought a deal was a must. Hopefully stay up and then get it done. Good age, improving and in case anyone hasn't noticed were not exactly overburdened with strikers now. It's not championship manager, it's hard to buy players. Particularly if other clubs know you're desperate.

Plus, while he's had a decent season I don't think he's going to be high on the wanted list of the promotion contenders. He's probably at the right level club right now. Easier said than done selling a player for a big fee and replacing them with better quality for less.
 
I would think we will look to extend Fletcher. He has been our only consistent forward for 18 months. He has 1 in 3, even though half of that time has been out wide.

Clayton, time to go, ditto shotton.
Friend if he takes a wage cut and maybe a player/coach role might swing it to stay.
Pears, I would like to think he will stay, but might need to go on loan to League One
Johnson will go perfected fo a side promoted from League One
Nmecha and Morrison will go
We will try and get Roberts back, but there will be a lot of interest from elsewhere
I wouldn't be surprised if we sign Moukoudi, right age, and an excellent talent

In reply to boroben92, We don't need to replace the 10 academy players , but a weak academy will get beat most weeks , and the academy players still here will struggle to improve. I hope we do recruit some young players for the academy to replace some of the ones deamed surplus. The academy should provide our future 1st team players.
