Ashley fletcher

It's great to have him back as he offers something different to the others. He's tall and athletic Although not physical enough for me.... Actually not so much 'physical' as needs to be a bit more nasty or a bully. He's a big unit... Put it about👍

I think he could be worth a new deal because of age and the fact he cost a few quid. Then again he's never been anywhere near prolific. I guess it's very much down to wages. I doubt we can match what he's on. I certainly wouldn't break the bank to keep him.

Then again I don't trust anyone to find 'better'. The current record for signing forwards is woeful at best.

He will get credited with an assist for Watmore solo goal haha! But at the end of the day it was an important headed touch and I really doubt Assombalonga would of done that. Could be a vital moment. Hope he stays fit now and like you say goes on a run, he isn’t perfect but he’s the best we have got and is most suited to how Warnock wants us to play which he himself alluded to last night.

It was a good header to a player, rather than just getting his head to the ball and hoping something picks up the second ball.

Yep, a directed touch rather than an aimless wrestle or flick on. Also thought he did a good Lay off late in the second half which put Watmore into space for another driving run. Could be a good combination them 2 for the run in

I was convinced he was going to miss the pelanty, but then I noticed the keeper had on a short sleeved top, which swung the balance back.

In the end it was a shyte pelanty matched equally be some shocking goalkeeping. Both parties should be embarrassed by the whole event.

and you still cant convince me Flethcher is anything like a decent player. He flatters to deceive in our dessert oasis of a front line up of competent "attackers"

He's not convinced me yet
Poor 1st half but improved
He has been out for a while though, so hopefully he'll get better
Bit worried he can play another 90 minutes on Saturday - we don't want him to go the same way as Bolasie
I'd certainly like to see if him ans Watmore can get some kind of partnership going

I don't think he is a player that will ever score many goals. He is not very mobile or fast. Bang average champo player.

Sounds like he's going to get a good run in the team going off Warnock's comments last night.

Interesting that Warnock pretty much feels like Fletcher is the only target man we have who can bring others into play and help create space for runners.

I have a feeling we won't see Britt anytime soon. He's clearly one who was criticised for his performance at Derby.

It's scary to think he could become even less interested as he knows he's only got months left (also that we clearly didn't want him as offered to clubs).

So I'm guessing Fletcher needs to do the bizz👍

i dont think anyone thinks fletchers a quality footballer and bang average will do for now as its a step up from the the other 2 carthorses. The lads been out a while, give him some credit. He won headers and linked up fairly well. He was always trying to get to the near post for crosses. Assist and a goal on his first game back. Hope he kicks on as i think he has something to offer at this level.

Would be our top scorer this season if he had been fit. Looking forward to seeing him lead the line as Warnock was suggesting only he can do last night during is presser.
