I don’t think he looks like he can stay fit for 15 games never mind score 15 goals . He has been part of the problem over the last few years.

Not his fault that Monk spent 7m on what was effectively a 500k striker though.

I’d genuinely rather have Hugill as an option.

Yeah I'd definitely take Hugill... underrated for what he brings to the side. Would fit into our system..
 
I would tell him contract is on table till say May 1st, if not signed by then contract offer withdrawn and Goodbye.
NW needs to get sorted for next season and needs an early decision.
Fletcher is not that good to be mucking us about.
Same for Johnson as well and anyone else in similar situation.
 
I like the lad. I just wish he had a little bit of a nasty streak...a bit of fearlessness. Be a bit braver in the challenge.
I know he's been carrying knocks and a bad injury, but to me, if three managers and coaching staff can't inject that bit of steel... Maybe it is time for him to consider his options.
 
Using the words Fletcher and Striker together as a description of goods surely can be construed as a breach of the trade description act....
 
Didn’t mind him but the fact is we need better and he clearly wants to leave. I would probably take the offer off the table now and move on. I just hope the next couple of strikers we bring in are vast improvements on Assombalonga and Fletcher as Akpom wasn’t and that was a concern.
 
I wanted us to keep him, but if he's weighing up his options I would rather we looked elsewhere. Warnock can get better value and we can develop one of our youngsters. Same goes for Akpom, it's not going to happen for him here is it, might as well cut our losses and try again!
 
Fletcher should be given a deadline- he simply isn’t good enough to play us off against other clubs. Good luck to him but we should not be messed about from a limited footballer
 
next season is going to be very very interesting, and this core group under Neils tutelage dont look to me like a promotion gang waiting to pounce - we are as far away now as we were when we goonered Agnew and brought in Monk..

as much as Neil is a good laugh and a character, his playing the worst type and style of football seen from Middlesbrough FC in many a season - poor fellah will be taken to the cleaners when fans are allowed back in - one thing Boro fans do is voice their opinion and when performances are disjointed and results are poor it aint usually polite or scripture.

Neil best get ready for the half-time cacophony of angry voices being serenaded by Booo's.

We wont put up with results and performances like we have seen since January of this year.

It's time we parted ways with all our forwards except Whatmore. A decent strike pairing or even one decent striker would have seen us comfortably in the play offs.
