As a fan - as an individual:

i find all the bleating to be reminiscent of Durham and Northumberland - very Geordie and Mackem esque.

the entitlement off some is nauseating - Crass in its extreme - The 'proud boys' of Teesside stuff.

worst of it is when they come back and defend their outbursts - absolute social lepers - all very social psychopath stuff.

because you bawl and shout on every thread it doesn't make your view/opinion any better

A little less Ego and a little more Soul.
Thanks Mr Superfan. Can you let other fans know when they’re ok to voice some criticism without being labelled a “social leper” or a “psychopath”?

I don’t believe that, I don’t believe in closing off the opposite argument. Don’t we all believe in friendly debate? As an example myself and @coluka are polar opposites today going back and forth but I’d like to think it’s been friendly getting both our points across and we essentially all want the same thing.
I don’t deny you are mate. You come across as a level headed poster, however, there are a group of individuals who do not accept any critique at all. When times get hard I.e. when the club decide it’s time for a change of management or backroom staff they are nowhere to be seen, until the next employee steps up and the happy clapping recommences.

Successful sporting teams or nations continually review performance and results to a critical level, why can’t we as fans do the same?

I mentioned
Great post, there's a few camps that form every time anything like this happens. If anyone gives feedback at all, they're called bedwetters by the other camp. That camp decides they're the real supporters and we see many instances of the "no true Scotsman" fallacy. They will say that people actually want us to lose so that they can complain, and the second we win a league game they'll be pointing out how we've turned a corner and the bedwetters were wrong etc.

The truth is you can point out obvious failings without being a crap fan or a bedwetter and if you can't spot areas for improvements in these games you're just being a cheerleader / fluffer for the club, giving blind faith. It's normal to want to be better than bottom of the league.
I mentioned above that no one minds people criticising the team, performances, club, etc. but yesterday we had posters suggesting Carrick should be sacked. What mileage do we get from that.

You're a mad bugga but I like you.

Yeah, which posters @Norman_Conquest
I could go traipsing through every negative thread from yesterday and find them for you but are not willing to do so. If you are that interested you could go through them or is it you are calling me a liar and saying no one suggested Carrick was out of his depth?

If it helps your search, it was a username with very little history on this board.

You stated people suggesting he should be sacked, not he was out of his depth. You are moving the goalposts on that one.

Additionally, if you can’t be ars@d proving your own point I’m not gonna do it for you. Is that also a superfan trait?

Your comment was that people were calling for Carrick to be sacked, not saying he was out of his depth….

I’m not going to look for these suggested posts because I haven’t seen them and I am far from convinced that they actually exist.

Then we will agree to disagree and I certainly won't lose any sleep over what you or anyone else think, I'm too long in the tooth for that.
