Are we linked with any strikers

I'll throw some names in, jack Clarke, billy sharp dwight Gayle brewster, Woodrow, glatzel,, shankland, nketiah...all limked with in the past.

I still think there will be a log jam towards the end - when players still without a club, or those having no future at their existing club will realise they cant command a big wedge and risk being unemployed?
 
Was interesting neil said we have an important decision to make...wonder if he means stump up the cash or risk losing his no 1 target....think he sounded a bit fed up

I thought Glatzel , but , he said they have had some games, so not Cardiff , I wouldn't mind Woodrow , Gayle yes please , Brewster on loan , yes please , Shankland has returned from injury and played his 1st come back game yesterday , and the jocks have had some games , BUT , he goes for proven players he knows will do the job . Intriguing ? His final swan song , he will want to get it right . In Warnock we trust 👍🏻

In 2016 Warnock was interested in a young Arsenal striker called Chuba Akpom. He plays for PAOK Salonika now. Already played this season and out of contract at the end of it. Had an excellent season a couple of years back. Pacy and direct. My left field guess.
 
We have been trying to pick players on the cheap which appears to be making buying very difficult - evidence Newy said we bid £400k for Kiefer Moore and he went for £1.5m. We supposedly offered George Friend £13k/week down from £20k/week (I could understand a cut, but it was quite a big cut).
 
I’m expecting Woodrow to come in , if he’s not playing against us tomorrow that should be our answer .
This will be our mains summer spend I’d say at around £2.5m

I heard George Friend was offered £7k a week
 
I don't overly get the 'his club has a lot of games?'. Everyone has the same amount over the next few weeks. Unless he's playing in the league Cup.

I guess time will tell. If its been on going for over 3 weeks it will he a blow if it falls through after what happened with Sonogo.

That would have been an interesting move. I'm guessing Karanka was a big pull. I can see George working with Karanka in some sort of coaching role tbh.
 
There is plenty striker out there you can get.

Gary Hooper is available. He left the club in Australia well actually he got released. Same thing anyway.

Yes please. Can’t see it myself as we’d have to spend a fair bit of coin to get a player that scored 14 last year. He would be a excellent signing for us, the missing link between our strikers and midfield.
