Are we linked with any strikers

Wonder if we still fancy grosicki from west brom too. He could be our Gaston Ramirez. He didnt really feature alot after he moved from hull and might struggle to get in their team even more now.

Zohore and samba incoming is my guess . Plus the Liverpool CB and ideally the Barnsley striker but a potential lock down is a possibly stopping us pushing the boat too far .

Agree about Collins at Luton. Seems to get plenty of goals and a bit of a nasty streak and plays on the shoulder.

Think he's 29 though.

Report says Zohore Is wanted by sheff wed but his £50k pw wages are a stumbling block . ( I can only find report saying he was on £16,500 at Cardiff which went up to £20,000 pw at WBA . Still double our new budget it seems .
That would be the same for us .
Woodrow would cost £2m or more , and we are not throwing money at signings so he could also be too expensive . Edit - Could have got Woodrow AND Chaplin for £2.8m

50k a week.... Jesus. It's still a big outlay if we paid half.

He could be happy just sitting at wba picking up 200k a week. It's not like they can force him out. I guess the nearer it gets to the window closing they could be happy for anyone to pick up 10-15k of that.

It's quite tragic when you look at what fairly average run of the mill footballers are earning. I'm amazed some of the great players who played for us years ago aren't consumed by bitterness at it all. Some of them would be on shedloads more than Zahore if they were playing these days and their pay reflected their ability.

If he is loaned out from West Brom it'll be to the champo and will absolutely not be for 50k/week, 20k with promotion bonus maybe.

I am a bit shocked if Zohore is on £50k/week. (Britt is the most we have ever paid on around £35k) - Do WBA pay 50% more than us?

I agree with BM around £20k/week and promotion bonus is our wage level.

WBA would have to make up the difference.

The sites I can see say Zohore WAS on £16,500 pw at Cardiff
And another says he is on £20,000 pw at WBA
So maybe he could be affordable if WBA pay half .

They just have to let us have him on loan and at those wages we probably could just stretch to a season loan.

Interesting that Steve Bruce said he will have a number of players soon that he needs to loan out to give them match games, possibly 5 or 6 players.

Good god not Joe Linton.
I'd rather have a forward line of gook, Ricketts and Gestede.

The Warnock article says our top target is a permanent signing though so maybe not Zohore As the other forward he mentions is a youngster.

3 Quotes from Neil
The lad fancies it - no clue there
Neil Bauser has been working on it every day for 3 weeks - fee agreed maybe , but they want a replacement before he leaves
the club have had a lot of games
The last quote could be the clue . How many clubs have been playing regularly for a while ?
Not WBA
Also rules out a free transfer .

He says his main target has been going on for 2 weeks. He hopes to have news on Wednesday (not holding my breath)

I think it will be Zohore on loan. He also says he wants a 4th forward a younger one. Hopefully find a Brewster type from a prem academy

If you believe other reports then Zahore fancies the Sheff Wed move more than us, which if true indicates that he's not Warnock's target.
