I'm not sure how we've been after him for weeks but didn't know he was crocked. Just seems like a lot of wasted effort. He did say we wanted 2 forwards. So must have been looking at 1 other.

We must be able to loan one from a prem club. I would have had Lyle Taylor or Chris Martin on a free.
 
Was Fletcher that bad last night - he looked lively first half and then just disappeared second half.

the commentators were saying similar that you just need more effort from him.
 
I would imagine Woodrow would cost a few quid? Probably in excess of what Moore went for (2mil+).

Also I'm not sure how Barnsley would replace him. Meaning unlikely to sell unless it's a crazy bid.
 
Did we hear anything about bettinelli before we signed him? Every chance we are looking at people the press don't know about.

I think the most significant deals will be done 5th to 24th October. This is when the transfers are limited to English clubs. The prem teams will all have their squads sorted and we will be able to pick up loans of youngsters and cast offs like Ramirez and besic. Also when there may be a few twitchy bums in teams that have started poorly and the opportunity to sign McNair and Britt for a few million may look a lot more attractive than they do today.
 
I see QPR boss was absolutely raving about Dykes yesterday. He thinks he's got a bargain. I guess time will tell.

We were linked with him last summer for 750k-1mil. No doubt he will turnout to be mint😂. I guess he could have been one of the players who turned us down. Although think he went nearer to 2mil.

We all know if Boro had signed him he would be bothering the corner flags and row Z far more than the back of the net. It's what we do to strikers with a previously good record.

Gypsy curse? Witchcraft? Strachan the magic wee Scottish Troll? There has to be some explanation. Can we not get Barry Fry to take a whizz in all four corners of the Riverside or summat?!
 
Think Dykes is a good signing for them. Watched him for Scotland on his debut last week and thought he was really good then to and certianly puts a shift in.
 
Dykes has played one good game. ...wow! Been many a false dawn with our so called goal machines.
Alves started well for us too but over a season us another matter.
 
I'd be amazed if we are not pushing hard for Zahore. I mean didn't Warnock sign him last year for Cardiff, he must like him as a player
