TBF the campaign has been utterly shameful. Stirring up islamophobia. Fake Facebook accounts making an issue out of ULEZ, bit farms on twitter, not to mention flat put lying about crime.

People have been conned. The GE campaigning is going to be horrific.
 
Disappointing (but expected) result. A Labour swing though, and with the GE now looming all the more reason to keep holding him to account.

In Birmingham the independent candidate has hoovered up votes because of Gaza so Andy street is going to win because of Gaza stance by labour. Not much else labour could’ve done because they needed to appease both Jewish voters and Muslim population 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
 
Embarrassed, but I suppose the head in the sand situation over Teesworks is bound to be stronger in Redcar with it being here.
 
what’s looking like a Houchen win is a badge of shame on Teesside. This is why I moved away and never moved back, people that do really dumb stuff like vote for Houchen
 
Honestly not surprised by the lack of willingness to become even slightly politically educated to make a decision that will impact Teesside for years. A Labour government and the only area with most likely the only Tory mayor (unless Street wins in the west midlands).

Honestly so embarrassing and it’ll be the same people who will complain because of the lack of government support in our area :(
