Only people I come across that mention him is all positive. CrazyI fear he will.
Stranglehold on the local press, constant PR spin and he won with an enormous majority last time.
Embarrassingly, I voted for him last time, duped by the spin and believing that he wasn't like the other Tories.
It's all came out in the wash since.
It's hard to tell though, there's no proper polling on it, and I don't know anybody that supports him anymore but I'm probably in a bubble when it comes to politics and I'm not sure how much of the corruption and scandal has been picked up by the general public.
You could be right.Sadly I think Lord Bemt is a shoe in. Labours biggest enemy is apathy and most people simply don’t recognise or care what powers Bent has or care to read up on his actions to date. He has the full Tory PR machine (see question time).
I don’t mind McKewan and the Green dropping out is helpful but Bent just spouts the same garbage - the airport https://northeastbylines.co.uk/the-...-ashes-part-2-what-next-for-teesside-airport/
The thousands of jobs he has (not) created
The new hospital he has promised to deliver (even though it is not in his remit / gift.
And of course these pearls of wisdom.
Sadly despite all the evidence weighted against him he wins on PR and apathy.
I think that is a plausible scenario. He may win the election but long term ......he's toast.
I’d be very surprised to see any action on further investigations on the Teesworks site whether Labour gain power or not. One hopes however. You could be right.
But when Labour get in, one of the first things they should do is get the National Audit Office in to give Teessworks are proper look over - why do you think Gove refused to do this if everything was fully documented and above board?
He may win the election but long term ......he's toast.
Labour have already said they will ask the NAO to investigate his actions.I’d be very surprised to see any action on further investigations on the Teesworks site whether Labour gain power or not. One hopes however.
