Anyone else think Johnson is loosing the plot

I have no problem with stop and search in principal, I am massively in favour, it is the application that troubles me. Skin colour is not the right factor, age though imho is. I reported a young white guy with a knife clearly down his sock last Friday. I saw him in another bar 2 hours later and still about. Second report made and no contact from plod since. I took a quick photo on my phone in case they needed it, but no 🙁

I am against stop and search, partly because the way it is used and partly because it has no basis in our law.
 
Having slashed funding for our criminal justice system and dramatically cut police numbers the government now propose to introduce stuff that either we already have or which has been proven not to work.

The man never did have the plot. He has always been a duplicitous, dishonest, racist charlatan. A disaster in every post he’s had, including as part of the Leave campaign. Yet this country voted for his party. They voted for his Vote Leave. They voted for his Brexit.

There is no good that can come from him. No Brexit that carries any benefit. The only thing we have to wait and see is just how much damage the decisions made by this country are going to do to this country.

Saw this mentioned earlier and honestly thought it was a joke, not an actual policy suggested by our PM. Genuinely laughable but depressingly it will be a vote winner for their core support

The odd thing is, is that this is a real Brexit FU, but we would rather talk about a none story about cat food shortages.

I think Johnson is finished, I doubt he will last until Xmas. One thing about this he Tories they don't mess about.
 
David Cameron was the worst Prime Minister I've ever known, until Theresa May who was the worst Prime Minister I've ever known, until Alexander de Pfeffel Johnson...

The deal he was "forced" to sign was the legacy of his incompetent predecessors, Cameron called the referendum to solve division in his party, lost it, May drew the red lines that meant that "soft Brexit" was no longer an option and then Johnson lied and lied and lied and lied...

There were so many opportunities to avoid this clusterfukk and we have been diligently steered towards the rocks by incompetence, self interest and corruption. Hurrah for Britain!
 
I don't disagree with most that has been posted but Johnson might be lazy, he is definately a liar, but he isn't stupid. Why does he not notice that his current bumbling are idiotic.

Whilst stop and search will be popular with some, rightly or wrongly, he can't actually believe that anyone buys the line that it is loving and caring, can he?

He's definitely not stupid. And that's worse in many ways. Everything you see is an act. The hair, the bumbling, the stupidity. His real family and friends call him Alex. He is a con man with a frankly abhorrent agenda.

Muttering getting louder. The self regarding, Brexit Hard Man, Steve Baker claims he may not “ Behave “ himself at the conference.
Mail, and even elements of the Telegraph starting to turn. Sunak and Javid really making a play for the job.
But, the party membership polling shows Liz Truss is their favourite….Dog help us !!

A Tory grandee Peter Bone asked why a friend of his had been pulled up I think it was 8 times in a few years. The black Arch Bishop, he did not know of any other Bishop ever been stopped.

Johnson has no real interest in Brexit, Covid or real politics, they are all simply tools to carve out his own brand and celebrity, I think it's the attention rather than the power he craves which is why he is all over the place in terms of political ideology and policy.

Whatever the case he is and will forever be the man least suited to the role of Prime Minister who has ascended to that position, his popularity and the acceptance of his incompetence by so many show's that as a nation we have never been less aware of the realpolitik and what constitutes proper governance.

I did wonder this morning if he is missing Cummings guidance and maybe he has always been stupid, but I find that hard to believe.

He's not stupid its all very calculated and possibly designed to show his cult the pressure he's been put under by all those ghastly people who don't agree with his every word and whim, it's genuine 'through the looking glass; stuff as he becomes more and more dictatorial and aloof to guidance, always leaving a back track and escape route, a patsy to blame or when that fails a revision that bears no resemblance to the original or the truth.

Nobodby will look after the chain gangs as ithere's absolutely no chance of it happening, for so many reasons. It's just absolutely shameless nonsense that will appeal to the mindset of his core voters.
