Anyone else think Johnson is loosing the plot

Today he claimed that the withdrawal agreement generally, and the NI Protocol, specifically, were signed under duress and for that reason the EU have to re-open negotiations.

He also described his stop and search policy, a policy that will effect young black men disproportionately as loving and caring.

The man is either an idiot or he is having a mental breakdown.

I would love to know what the duress was

It's an atrocious deal that he has no way out of. If he undermines the NI protocol, it undermines the TCA and then his voters in England would feel the pinch.

There's only so long you can rely on bluster and favourable media coverage. He'll keep getting away with it until he doesn't then the house of cards will fall.

Look out for brave PM Sunak returning from Brussels having forced them to allow the UK to align with single market rules in about 2024/25.

He's definitely an idiot, a very dangerous one. I hope he's having a mental breakdown as well, his lies are causing real damage to people's lives.

Ah well, go get yourself a cuppa and settle in. He claimed to the EU that because parliament wouldn't let him get away with no deal, and the EU wouldn't relent on the border in the irish sea, he therefore had no choice but to sign the withdrawal agreement lest he become the shortest ever serving PM.

So, as everyone with half a brain has been saying all along, it was all about him and not the country.

On the News he was testiculating in the pi55ing rain holding his own umbrella.
which other word leader holds his own umbrella,
wonder how many people were asked to hold it until he gave up, like a drowned rat.

Yup. Feels inevitable, it's the only way to square the circle. Unfortunately large swathes (not all, admittedly) of brexit voters won't have it and the likes of Farage will keep them scared of anything remotely resembling a "soft brexit" so it'll be a few years before it can be sneaked under the radar or spun enough so they don't care. Hopefully the arsing around doesn't trigger too much trouble in NI in the meantime.

No half competent prime minister would've signed up to the deal.

"Fortunately" we had Boris and his hard-line brexit cheerleaders such as frothing at the mouth lunatics like IDS.

Hence why it has to be someone who was previously pro-Brexit, like Sunak - or Gove. A Nixon to China type thing, allowing it to be seen as 'winning concessions from Brussels'.

The reality of trade gravity and the drain from an ongoing antagonistic relationship with the economic superpower on our doorstep will be dealt with once someone more sensible is in charge. I think we'll all be shocked at how quickly the politics and media then fall into place.

Theresa May's deal was apparently unpalatable to people who valued the Union as it made concessions that meant NI would be treated slightly differently to GB. But Boris's deal was a triumph... until it wasn't.

The point I was making, moreso than he is a charlatan is that he seems to be getting worse, the umburella clip that osboro referrs to beggars belief when he tries to describe stop and search as loving and caring

In answer to the original question; Over half the country hopefully.

Poor people are guilty of anti social behaviour and have to be punished and humiliated
Rich people join the Bullingdon Club and partake in high jinks. They have to be applauded and feted until they become members of the government.
