Any posties on here?

These were my points :
1. Shouldn’t leave mail with someone else
2. Did not inform customer of his actions and future intentions, only informed the neighbour
Along with the fact that my parents are elderly and living miles away from the sorting office - this does not look good for the brand.
 
Speak to the postie. Wires may have got crossed in the retelling of the tale from the postman to the neighbour to your mam and then to you, he may have a different version of what was said. He should have spoken directly to your mam or at least wrote a note.
 
Postmen are intrinsically evil. Some of them may try to be smiley and friendly but that's just an act. Don't be fooled. I had a landlord who was a postman back in my youth and he was a right C-word. Little, squat, fat bloke with floppy blond hair and I WANTED to punch him the first time that I set eyes on him just for existing but that's not really a very good reason for hitting someone so I DIDN'T do that but I kind of wish that I had because when we left that flat he tried to charge us three grand for wear and tear. It was a tiny flat and he never even got around to fixing the water damaged carpets and we hadn't neglected it in any way. Three f***ing grand. The whole PLACE was barely worth that. Long story short. Postmen are *****.
 
I had a complaint about 8 years ago when one chucked a parcel over my gate that contained chocolate and the dog got it... long story short massive vet bill and emergency vets etc etc.

didn’t get any sort of response from the local sorting office or customer service until I emailed the CEO.

he/she had a special team deal with it and I got all the vet bills paid plus compensation with three days.

i then got asked to do a training interview with their customer service team a month or so later to educate the new intake.

email the CEO... it’s usually the only way it gets sorted
 
I would imagine that if he has stopped delivering to your parents house he will have filled in a form explaining why, the way they do for vicious dogs. Just phone Cannon Park today and explain that you haven't had a delivery for ages and ask if there is a problem. They will check the fitting and ask the postman directly.

Do it this morning and it will be sorted.
