Any posties on here?

What is the best way to get an issue resolved, a problem with a particular postie treating my elderly parents appalling??
I have sent an email to the customer service team but not sure what the response rate would be or should I go direct to the CEO office???

Basically refusing to deliver letters to my elderly mother, saying the letterbox was too stiff, which it isn’t I checked. He left her letters with a next door neighbour, saying to tell her, he was not delivering to her anymore and now she has to pick up all her mail from the sorting office in Middlesbrough????

My dad is 88 and suffers from dementia, and can’t be left alone and she has to travel 5 miles to Central Middlesbrough every day to check if she has any post???

I'm a postie out of Cannon Park where this postie would be based. I'm not sure what the best option is, our our complaint turn-around time, but if the customer support route does fail maybe contacting our sorting office directly could get you some joy? Asking to speak to his Line Manager or the Delivery Office Manager could be worth a try to get it resolved.

I doubt it will take too long for this issue to get to the office management mind if you've already spoken to someone about it.

Sorry mate, just posted you separately as saw you were a postie, so ignore the other one. I might nip down and see a manager cheers, failing that will go the CEO route.

Break both his knees. His recovery time will give him ample time for reflection and he’ll likely readjust his work practices

Worth a try mate, hope you get it sorted. It sounds like something that could be resolved with a chat.

I really hope so, it just seems such an odd course of action for a postie, for one thing, he has just put himself right on the radar, it maybe he is genuinely struggling physically with the job and may need some support.

It's a strange one, I mean a stiff letterbox can be a pain but it's just one of those things that you get on with in my experience. I've no idea what's happened there really.

Have you confronted the postie, if so speak to customer services and ask them for the complaints procedure. If you don't think that will get you anywhere, ask to speak to managers and keep going up the ladder until you get a satisfactory answer. I did this with DVLA, once and was armed with their guidelines and procedures dealing with my application. Available online, don't forget they are like the P.O, privately run. Hope you get it sorted

I have initially sent an email to the customer service complaints team, asking for a response by Friday, before I escalate, in the meantime, I may get time to drop into Canon Park and see if this can be resolved by local management.

Firstly, he shouldnt be leaving her mail with anyone else.

You may have a problem just turning up at Cannon Park because of Covid restrictions.

Maybe best to give them a ring or email.
