Amad Diallo

I'd love Diallo here - and the longer term the better. He is better than anything we currently have. Much better too.
But if he and United feel he can play a role there for the rest of the season then he is their player.

If he is to leave on loan there will be no shortage of PL takers, or decent foreign clubs playing top flight.

If he has to go to the Championship for a 16 weeks, then I guess his history at SoS means something to him. Fair enough.
I don't think any player who has not previously played for Sunderland would choose to go there over coming to us for the rest of this season.

We have McGree, Aziz, Greenwood, Crooks, Rogers, Forss, Jones, Gilbert, even Silvera.
9 players for 3 places as it is.

It is blindingly obvious where we are thinner, accentuated by injuries.

Aziz, when did he sign? 👀

RUNNING DOWN THE WING, MAKES THE BORO SING

We seem to be still looking at attacking players, but is suspect this is due to both Jones and McGree being close to their final year on their contracts, so it's possible both may go in the summer, unless they sign new deals of course.

McGree I think will go (sadly) particularly if he can get a move to a "better" league.

Be optimistic of Jones signing a new deal, if we want to keep him of course.

Sunderland have just signed Romaine Mundle, plays RW where Diallo often played for them. I know Utd have said he's staying but maybe we should enquire one last time?

Man Utd are rumoured to be wanting to keep him.

He's already said he won't go anywhere else in The Championship except Sunderland.

It would be a total waste of time putting any energy, whatsoever, in trying to sign Diallo.

We were right to quickly move on. The deal was never on.

"We didn't anticipate him being available on a permanent basis, but when we sensed an opportunity, we moved quickly and decisively to make it happen - our ways of working and structure are a real strength in these moments."

God the Mackems are full of **** aren’t they.

I suspect he's said that because he's got no intention of going anywhere in the championship full stop, but why not keep the mackems happy.

He's not a Sunderland fan and the manager he worked under is gone. No doubt he enjoyed his time there, but would be an odd stance to take, particularly if, say, Leicester were interested.

Unless he just really likes the tranquil experience of playing in an empty stadium after half time.
