Amad Diallo

Means nothing. Giles liked a tweet saying he’d not go to Luton over Boro. Pretty sure that DM is fake too.

The most convincing thing to suggest he’s not coming is Nixon saying it’s on.

I wasn’t really expecting this too happen as it didn’t make any sense for most parties involved. He is ex sunderland, we have loads of choice for attacking midfield, why would he come to the same level he was at last year and also he has a good chance of getting into the MU team as Antony is their main option at right wing!

Nixon is an absolute cretin. For starters he writes for that **** rag, The Sun.

He’s often spewing out loads of transfer rumours and very occasionally, one of his many darts hits the target. I can’t say I got overly excited when seeing the rumours seemed to originate from him.

If you see a transfer rumour, and Nixon is involved. It’s safer to think it’s definitely not happening.

Didn’t this precede him not signing for us? Doesn’t strike me as the greatest example of it meaning very little.
It was more that Giles liked a tweet by some fans about him coming back and not going to Luton. Sorry, couldn’t remember what actually happened but remember everyone getting all excited over it, and expecting him to sign at any moment.

He also stopped following us and then signed for Luton. People on here bizarrely tried to say him not following us was a sign he was coming here. It clearly wasn’t and I even said so at the time. Social media does give away signs these days.

I think we can safely say judging by diallo insta post he is ruling out a move here. I don’t think he will sign for Sunderland.

To be fair though at the time it probably was on and he thought he was coming back. So there was something in it.

But of course things changed. As they can with any transfer up until they sign.

Can't see the point in signing him on loan. Just stunts the development of our own players. We need a proper forward who can hold the ball up if anything and I'm not sure we even need that, depends how long coburn and LL are out.
