Alex Neil off to Stoke....

Not good for us this.

Neil with a better set of players will be dangerous for us.

Sunderland with that squad will only ever finish mid table at best.
Well maybe if he goes then he'll get more out of them but Stoke looked really poor against us and then they lost to Sunderland. I'd be surprised if he want's to leave Sunderland to go to Stoke.

Sunderland are easily bigger than Stoke in football. Nearly in every aspect.

I'd even argue and say Sunderland's current squad is better than Stoke's.

Both won 1 trophy in my lifetime, Sunderland was FA Cup as opposed to Stokes league cup. So in my book fairly similar. It is why I believe that Newcastle are the junior North East club as they rank with Hartlepool for trophies won in my lifetime.

So we are as big as Wigan?

Sunderland ARE a bigger club than Stoke aren’t they? They have won more trophies, play in a bigger stadium, have a bigger infrastructure with a productive youth set-up, and would probably have more potential for growth.

Yes, but who really cares about size of club?

For decades people have talked as it it's a good thing if their club is a "big club" but I'm not sure why. Looks like Alex Neil is about to give another demonstration of how insignificant size of club is.

Neil might feel Stoke have more if a future than Sunderland. Surely that's more important than anything that has happened in the past.
