Ok, thought he’d had a chance in Brentford firsts, Wikipedia suggests not. Sort of makes my point more though, why have we signed him.

I'd have thought to develop? Gave up a Brentford contract but doesn't mean we're going to throw him straight in as a first teamer. Am sure he would be brought in at some point.

He may be too good for the u23s but not quite ready for the first team? maybe carrick thinks he needs more coaching before he utilises him? Maybe he needs beefing up a little before he’s used? Who knows.

He doesn't even get game time in the cup games what's the point how will he develop without playing games. If he isn't going to get on the pitch why not loan him out

Agreed. If he's considered good enough surely he'd have had a runout at some stage
I think with Bangura Crooks Smith Forss and Dijksteel (who was sat in the West Stand yesterday) to come in he'll probably not make the 20 soon
But then why hasn't he been playing for the reserves and at Bolton?

Starting to feel very similar to the Marcus Browne signing under Woodgate, great under 23's player, maybe not good enough to cut it at senior level.

He's 22 in December so definitely not just a kid.

Brentford offered him a new contract, so whatever we saw in him to want to sign him, Brentford saw in him too.

It's just a bit odd.
