Akpom to WHU £18m?

Totally gutted. He stepped onto another level last year. Don't care about the money and tbh if you said keep him and no signings bar a left back. or take 18 mil, I'd keep him. But I'm not the owners.

However, he's a London lad and chance to make his name in London, that's what it's about. Good luck to him and thanks for the memories.

He hasn’t left mate

As good as Akpom was last season, there’s no chance we’re getting £18m for a player with 1 year left on his contract.

best goalscorer for decades and some people are happy that the club are getting 18mill.

Absolutely gutted if true. Could be another few decades before we get another goal scorer over 20 given our track record.
He’s 27 and has had one good season in his career. I love chuba, but for all we know he could be a one season wonder. Only has one year on his contract as well. We’d be insane to turn down 18 million as a championship club

akpom wont play for boro this season, he will be cashed in on, i predict by some d*ckhead premier team that just go on his goal scoring record rather than how he did it as a midfielder

I wasn't saying he had, natch. What I was saying is that I think he's key for us but as a London lad don't begrudge him a chance of making it in The Smoke. especially, as I just looked up, he's from Canning Town!. That's West Ham territory and I hope he rips it up there if he gets the move.

I'd drive him for 18mil. Although can't see anyone paying that much. One year left on his contract and one good season.

That said that 'owe' us one for the daylight robbery that was Fletcher 🙄

Didn’t he say on one of the podcasts that his coach as a kid was a diehard Iron and he almost got him to sign for them, but he supported Arsenal. I still bet West Ham is a dream move for him given he’s an East End lad.

100%. All the people he grew up with in Canning Town will be able to know he;s playing down the road and maybe go and watch him. What's not to like? If he has to go anywhere, I hope it's WHU. It softens the blow.
