Really wouldn't surprise me, and fair play to them if they do. I just want the window to close so we can crack on, with or without Akpom and Archer.

It was my biggest fear that the promoted teams would jump on the Giles, Akpom, Archer and a Ramsey mission as soon as we failed. If you are right then it will be gutting. I am sort of ok with Akpom going if the money is good, but will be gutted on missing out on Archer and then seeing them link up, hope Villa hold on to Archer if you are right, thank goodness they haven’t got Giles though too as my head would have exploded. If they get Ramsey and all, then I‘m gonna need a bigger prescription

We could "afford" the fee, but it's whether the club felt it was good value.
The fact Wolves have a buy-back clause and a sell on fee makes the deal less attractive I suppose.

On Carricks radio interview yesterday I am sure he implied that things could happen this week and the hold up in things were we we’re waiting for things to drop into place. I wonder if we had accepted a bid from Sheff Utd and they needed to sell Ndiaye. I need to find the interview to see if I heard right.
I seen that today to, it's essentially a loan deal in a way. No wonder we wouldn't pay the fee if there was a buy back clause

Just hope we’ve got a plan B. We appear to have put most of our eggs in the Giles basket and now scratching around to try and find an adequate replacement.

I'm absolutely sure that Giles was on a list of many options for LB, albeit the first choice within that.
The days of us being in the position you describe are behind us now, thankfully!

I honestly don't think we were in for Giles at £5m .
I think we will get a starting LB this week .

I can see SU having a list of no10 's with Akpom at the top and Zian Fleming next , but Millwall will want good money for him too so negotiations will be going on . Archer on loan would replace N'diaye , Ramsay would be an upgrade on Jebison ( who I like BTW )
£18m for N'daiye will be reinvested IMO.
I'm amazed Akpom hasn't been linked with the Arab league yet. Even Jack Hendry has gone there .

Want the window to close? You should be praying it stays open for an extra month the way we’re going. We need 4 senior players and a week before the season starts we could be having Matt crooks up front coulson at left back and our 4 best players are gone. I’m surprised people are not panicking because we should be

I expect Chuba to go it’s simply the model we look to be going down. What’s concerning is the lack of senior players and the fact with less than a week till the season starts we’ll have a below average championship side to field.
