If those are from whoscored, then only 28 players average 7 or over. Those are the exceptional performers and they only average around that level.

This season 374 players played, position 187, slap bang in the middle was Scott Malone with an average rating of 6.64. That's your standard for a middle of the road championship performance. It's fair to say on this scale he only heavily exceeded that twice, but it's also fair to say he only fell well short of it on 4 occasions too. Grand scheme of things his time with us was below championship average and below what we needed.

I agree the team had been doing well, and fell off a cliff, partly but not entirely down to him as other players form dropped dramatically.

Wasn’t it onthemap who claimed he caught a flight just to watch a boro game then flew back straight after, and Pinkponce looked into the flight schedules and there was nothing that matched these supposed flights. And the flight times didn’t add up either. Like it would have had to take about 2 hours to fly back to Colombia based on where he said he was, and what he was doing, at particular times of the day. 😀

I think that is a good example of taking this place too seriously. One fella making stuff up. Then other taking the time to investigate the claim.

Do people need to win an argument with a stranger so badly?

Some would argue that telling people what level of seriousness is acceptable on a messageboard is taking the board and themselves too seriously.

It’s up to other people how serious they take it, isn’t it?

I don't get involved in any type of message board personal spat - or escalated disagreement - so can't remember what the he said / she said semantics were.

Only thing I do recall is he was getting "abuse" from a number of posters on a continual basis. He may not have helped himself with his replies, I'll take your word for it, but I think he had indeed passed the breaking point and was a good idea to step away for his own sanity.

Can't remember the Derby thing at all, thought it was unanimous on here that they should be punished. Shocking memory, that's old age for you.🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
